So many good things...
Sometimes I sketch out ideas for posters that never get made. Work gets in the way, or the idea itself is so shoddy that it puts me off from going any further. I’ve chickened out on a lot, really - weaseling your way out of doing something for a client is unprofessional; for yourself, simple. But every now and then an obligation crops up that forces old scribbles back into your life.

War Starts at Midnight
US one-sheet for The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. The idea behind this and the UK quad came from tearing away the old and finding the youth underneath, which is at the heart of the story. The final sketch was scribbled off to the side as an afterthought, but wound up being the starting point when a magazine-cover direction fell by the wayside.
